# Manual sends

> Send campaign messages on LinkedIn yourself, mark them as sent, and tell the campaign whether each invite was accepted.

Manual sends is for campaigns that have no connected LinkedIn to send from. You do each step on LinkedIn, then mark it here so the campaign goes on. Find it at **Campaigns › Approvals**, under **Manual sends**.

If your LinkedIn is connected, you may never see anything here. A campaign you send by hand has its steps here instead of in [Upcoming sends](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/upcoming-sends.md).

## Do a step by hand

**1. Read what to do**

Each row names the person, the campaign and the step, with one sentence on what to do and how long it has waited.

**2. Copy the text**

Click **Copy message**, **Copy note**, **Copy email** or **Copy comment**. If the row says nothing is written for this step yet, write it yourself.

**3. Do it on LinkedIn**

Click **Open LinkedIn** and send it. Nothing is sent for you from this page.

**4. Mark it**

Click **Mark as sent** for something that goes to the person, or **Mark as done** for a like, a follow or a profile view. The campaign goes on from there.

Each row has the text to copy, a link to their LinkedIn and the mark button. Invites you sent by hand wait under Did they accept?

Some steps have nothing to copy and still wait here: a like, a follow, a profile view and an invite with no note.

If it says "Their name changed after this was written", check how the message starts before you send it.

| What you see | What it means |
| - | - |
| A person has already moved on to another step | The list was out of date. Nothing was marked, and the list is up to date now. |
| The message isn't waiting any more | Same. Nothing was marked. |
| The campaign is paused | Your mark is saved. The campaign goes on when you resume it. |
| "They show up here in a minute or two" or a later day | People are on their way and aren't due yet. |

## Did they accept?

Without a connected LinkedIn, we can't see whether someone accepted your invite. So you tell us. About a minute after you mark an invite as sent, the person appears under **Did they accept?**.

**1. Check LinkedIn**

Click **Open LinkedIn** and see whether they're connected.

**2. Answer**

Click **Accepted** or **Didn't accept**.

| Answer | What happens |
| - | - |
| **Accepted** | The next message shows up here when it's due. |
| **Didn't accept** | They take the "If they don't accept" path. If the campaign has nothing on that path, they're done. The message says the same: "Noted. \[Name] takes the “If they don’t accept” path. If the campaign has none, they’re done." |
| No answer | The campaign waits for as long as the step says, 7 days by default, then treats it as not accepted. |

Answer as soon as you know, because the wait keeps running. If two people on your team answer, the first answer stands and the page says it was already answered.

## Switch to sending for you

When you connect LinkedIn, the campaign starts sending for you. People whose step was already here stay here until you mark them. The rest go through the connected account, under its [limits](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/senders-and-limits.md). See [Connect LinkedIn](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/settings/connect-linkedin.md).

**Send now** in Upcoming sends doesn't work on these people. It says the message is sent by hand.
