# Quickstart

> Sign up for B2B Signals, check who it will look for, mark your first people and queue your first messages.

This guide takes you from your website to your first queued messages. It takes about 6 minutes. You don't need a card, and nothing sends until you approve it.

You don't need an account for the first three steps. You create one when you save your work.

## Set up your workspace

**1. Tell us what you sell**

Go to [app.b2bsignals.ai/start](https://app.b2bsignals.ai/start), paste your site into **Your website** and click **Continue**. Keep the page open while we read it.

No website? Click **No website? Describe what you sell** and write a sentence or two. Saying who buys it and why helps most.

**2. Check your brief**

Your [brief](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/help/glossary.md#brief) is what you sell and to whom. The next screen, "Here's who we'll look for", shows it in six parts: **What you sell**, **Who**, **Where**, **What kind of company**, **Reasons to reach out** and **Leave out**.

Click any underlined part to change it, or type what to change in the box below. Changes save as you go.

When it looks right, click **Find 5 people**. This can take a few minutes. Nothing is sent.

![The brief screen with What you sell, Who, Where, What kind of company, Reasons to reach out and Leave out, and the Find 5 people button](https://mintcdn.com/b2-b-signals-llc/u5yYe4FZtFc5vtD_/images/getting-started/start-brief.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=u5yYe4FZtFc5vtD_\&q=85\&s=5d14b300ae338333f6fd41a463802e32)

Here's who we'll look for: click any underlined part to change it.

**3. Mark each person**

Each person comes with the reason they came up. Choose one:

* **Good fit** writes a suggested first message for this person. It doesn't send it.
* **Not a fit** asks why, which is optional: **Agency or studio**, **Wrong role**, **Too small**, **Wrong region** or **Other…**.

After two **Not a fit** answers with a reason, we adjust your brief and look for someone new. You have a few seconds to click **Undo** first. Click **Continue** when you're done.

You don't have to wait for all 5 people. While the search runs, you can save and we keep looking.

**4. Save your work**

Click **Continue with Google**, or enter your **Work email** and click **Email me a sign-in link**. There is no password and no card.

The link works on any device. The screen says "Open it in this browser and keep this tab open". If you do, the tab continues on its own once you click the link. If you open it on your phone or another computer instead, you continue there, and this tab says **You continued on another device** with **Sign in** to pick up your brief.

Saving creates your workspace, starts your 7-day trial and starts [Radar](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/help/glossary.md#radar), our AI that looks for people for you.

**5. Connect LinkedIn, or skip it**

Click **Connect LinkedIn** and sign in through the LinkedIn window, then click **Queue my first messages**.

If you'd rather not connect yet, click **Skip, I'll send manually**. You can connect later in **Settings**. See [Connect LinkedIn](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/settings/connect-linkedin.md).

**6. See what happens next**

The last screen tells you who goes when. Click **Go to my Home** to start using the app.

## What you end up with

Everyone you marked **Good fit** joins a campaign called "First campaign". What happens next depends on your LinkedIn and your plan.

| Your situation | What happens | Where to go |
| - | - | - |
| LinkedIn connected | The campaign runs. Each message waits for your approval, then goes out. | [Approvals](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/approvals.md) |
| LinkedIn not connected | The campaign runs in manual mode. You copy each message, send it on LinkedIn and mark it as sent. | [Manual sends](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/manual-sends.md) |
| Your plan doesn't include sending (Free) | Nothing is sent and nobody is queued. Your people and their first messages stay in your account until you pick a plan. | [Plans](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/getting-started/plans.md) |
| You marked nobody **Good fit** | No messages are queued. Mark people from your Home and we write a first message for each. | [Review new people](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/people/review.md) |

### How First campaign works

| Rule | Setting |
| - | - |
| Steps | An invite with a note, a message 3 days after they accept, then a follow-up 4 days later |
| If they don't accept | The campaign waits up to 14 days for them to accept |
| Approval | You approve every message |
| Who joins | Only people you mark **Good fit**. New Radar people you mark **Good fit** later join on their own. |
| New people a day | 3 |
| Per company | One person per company a week |

You can change any of this later. See [Add people to a campaign](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/add-people.md) and [Steps and messages](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/campaigns/steps-and-messages.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> If you connect LinkedIn after skipping it, new messages go out through your account. Messages already waiting in **Manual sends** stay there until you send them by hand.

## What happens after today

* **Radar keeps looking.** Every weekday it looks for new people and brings the best to your Home. On the Free plan it searches once a week, on Mondays.
* **You get a digest.** On weekday mornings we send a short email when there is news. You can [change or pause it](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/settings/notifications.md).
* **Your trial runs for 7 days.** It covers up to 20 people found. When it ends you move to Free, unless you chose a plan. Nothing is deleted. See [Plans](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/getting-started/plans.md).

Radar's first search doesn't always start right away. Your Radar page and Home tell you when it starts.

## If something gets in the way

> [accordion] We couldn't read that site
>
> Your site may be blocked or down. Tell us in one line what you sell under **What you sell** and click **Continue**, or click **Try the site again**.

> [accordion] No more live searches for now
>
> Each draft gets 3 live searches, and each internet connection gets 2 a day. The screen calls this "today’s live searches from this device". Live searches can also be busy across all users. Click **Save my brief** and we keep looking after you sign up. Your morning email tells you when we find more.

> [accordion] We haven't found anyone yet
>
> We only show real people with a reason to hear from you, so a search can come back short. Save your brief and we keep looking, or click **Widen the brief** or **Edit the brief**.

> [accordion] That sign-in link didn't work here
>
> A link works only for a short while and only once. Send a new one and click the newest link. It works on any device, but opening it in the browser where you asked for it lets that tab continue on its own. If you already used the link somewhere else, sign in at [app.b2bsignals.ai/login](https://app.b2bsignals.ai/login).

> [accordion] You already have a workspace
>
> If your account already has a workspace in use, we ask what to do with your brief. Click **Add this brief as a new workspace** or **Go to my Home**. Nothing in your account changes until you choose.
>
> You can save one workspace this way a day, and three in total. An owner gets one trial, so a second workspace starts on Free.

> [accordion] This draft expired, or we can't find your draft
>
> Drafts are kept for 30 days and live in the browser where you started them. Click **Start again**. It takes a few minutes.
