# Aimfox

> Connect Aimfox so people from B2B Signals go into an Aimfox campaign, in each client workspace you choose.

Connect Aimfox when Aimfox runs your LinkedIn outreach and you want people from B2B Signals to land in its campaigns. One master key brings in every Aimfox client workspace, and you choose which ones get people.

Data moves one way: from B2B Signals to Aimfox. Aimfox writes and sends the messages.

## Before you start

* You are the workspace owner or an admin.
* You have your Aimfox master API key. In Aimfox, open Workspace settings, then Integrations.
* Each Aimfox workspace you want to use has a campaign that takes new people.
* Your workspace is on a paid plan. Nothing goes to Aimfox while the workspace is on the Free plan.

## Connect Aimfox

**1. Open Aimfox in Settings**

Open **Settings**, then **Integrations**. Under **More tools**, press **Connect** on **Aimfox**.

**2. Paste your master key**

Paste it into **Aimfox master API key** and press **Connect Aimfox**. When the key works, you see "Aimfox is connected."

**3. Turn on the workspaces that should get people**

Under **Aimfox workspaces**, open a workspace and turn on **Send people to this workspace**. Each workspace has its own campaigns.

**4. Pick where new people go, per workspace**

Inside each workspace you turned on, pick a campaign under **Where new people go**. Use **Send a source somewhere else** to send a source to a different campaign.

If you have more than 10 Aimfox workspaces, new ones start turned off, so you choose each one. A **Find a workspace** box helps you find them.

Every choice saves at once. A short message offers **Undo**.

## Which people go on their own

The rules are the same as for HeyReach. Radar and watchlist people go only to a campaign you pick for them. People you add by hand, from a file, from Clay or by API don't go on their own. See [Which people go on their own](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/integrations/heyreach.md#which-people-go-on-their-own).

**Send new people on their own** turns this on or off for Aimfox as a whole. When it is off, nobody goes to Aimfox until you send them.

A person never goes to Aimfox when they or their company are on [Do not contact](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/people/do-not-contact.md), or when they have no LinkedIn link. A person goes to the same Aimfox campaign only once.

## What Aimfox receives

In the Aimfox drawer, **What we pass along** says: "The person’s LinkedIn address, and the fields you choose below for Aimfox to use in its messages."

Open **Choose fields** to pick which extra values go along. Each one you switch on becomes a custom variable you can use in your Aimfox messages:

| Field | Variable |
| - | - |
| **Suggested first message** | `GENERATED_MESSAGE` |
| **Connection note** | `CONNECTION_NOTE` |
| **Opening line: why we are reaching out** | `OPENING_LINE` |
| **Suggested LinkedIn message** | `LINKEDIN_MESSAGE` |
| **Why they came up (category)** | `TRIGGER_CATEGORY` |
| **Email subject** | `EMAIL_SUBJECT` |
| **Email first sentence** | `EMAIL_FIRST_SENTENCE` |
| **Email body** | `EMAIL_BODY` |
| **Email call to action** | `EMAIL_CTA` |

Until you change anything, the first three are on. You can switch all of them off, and then only the basics go. A campaign's own settings list only the fields you switched on here.

A value we don't have is left out for that person. Each value is cut to 1,500 characters. Check your Aimfox message for an empty variable before you start the campaign.

## Send people you already have

In a workspace you turned on, press **Check who would go** under **People you already have**. Pick **Good fits (7 and up)**, **Strong fits (8 and up)**, **Very strong fits (9 and up)** or **Everyone**, check the number, then press **Send N people**. Nothing goes before that last press. The button stays greyed out until the workspace has a campaign under **Where new people go**.

A campaign here can also send its own people to an Aimfox campaign. Open its **More settings**, then **Send to other tools**. See [A campaign of its own](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/integrations/heyreach.md#a-campaign-of-its-own).

## When something goes wrong

| What happens | What we do | What you do |
| - | - | - |
| Aimfox is busy or slow | We try again later | Nothing |
| Your master key stops working | Nothing reaches Aimfox | Disconnect, then connect with a new key |
| A workspace or campaign is missing from the list | We keep the list for 3 minutes | Press **Refresh the list from Aimfox** |
| "Aimfox is connected, but we couldn't read its campaigns yet." | | Try again in a minute |

### Not working

If Aimfox keeps refusing people or not answering, its drawer shows **Not working.** with what happened in the last 30 days:

* "Aimfox turned down N people we tried to send. Its key or the campaign may have changed. Check both in Aimfox, or disconnect and connect it again with a fresh key."
* "Aimfox didn’t answer after several tries for N people. Check that it is up. New people will be tried again."

One person going through clears it.

## Disconnect Aimfox

Open **Settings**, then **Integrations**, press **Manage** on **Aimfox**, then **Disconnect…** and confirm. New people stop going to Aimfox. People already there stay there. Your workspace and campaign choices are removed. You can connect again any time.

To stop one workspace only, turn off **Send people to this workspace** instead.
