# Find and filter

> Search and filter People by stage, owner and source, save views for your team, and use lists, tags, owners and tasks.

Use these tools to get to the right people quickly, and to keep track of who does what. None of them send anything.

## Search

Type in **Search people**. It looks through names, job titles, company names and domains, emails and LinkedIn links.

## Filter the list

Open **Filter** to narrow what you see. **Clear filters** resets it.

| Control | Options |
| - | - |
| **Stage** | **Any stage**, or one stage. Choosing a stage switches to the **All** tab. |
| **Owner** | **Anyone**, **Me**, **Nobody**, or a teammate. |
| **Sort** | **Newest first** or **Best fit first**. |
| **Source** | One or more of the places your people came from, such as Radar, a watchlist or a CSV import. |

The **Stage** filter also holds four pills for people who were in touch with a campaign:

| Pill | Shows |
| - | - |
| **In campaign** | People a campaign is working on now. Always offered. |
| **To contact** | Nothing has gone out yet, and no campaign is running for them. |
| **Contacted** | A message or invite went out, and no campaign is running for them now. |
| **Connected** | They accepted an invite, and no campaign is running for them now. |

The last three are only offered when at least one person matches. Read more in [Stages](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/people/stages.md#to-contact-contacted-and-connected).

Choosing Not a fit in **Stage** opens a [separate view](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/people/review.md#find-and-recover-someone) of people you ruled out.

If you see **Nobody matches**, your filters are too narrow. Choose **Clear filters**.

## Choose columns and row height

Open **Display**:

* **Columns**: **Person** is always shown. Turn **Company**, **Reason**, **Source**, **Stage** and **Owner** on or off.
* **Add a column**: add **Email**, **Location**, **Added on** or **Fit score**. **Your own field** and **Write with AI** only work while a list is open, because those columns live on the list.
* **Rows**: **Roomy** or **Compact**.

## Save a view

A saved view keeps your filters, search, columns and row height. It doesn't remember which people you ticked.

**1. Set up the list**

Choose your filters, search and columns.

**2. Save it**

Open **Display** and choose **Save as a view…**. Give it a name of up to 60 characters.

**3. Share it, if you want**

Turn on **Share with everyone in this workspace**, then choose **Save view**.

Open a saved view from the lists menu under **Saved views**. Shared views carry a **Shared** label. You can rename or delete your own views.

## Use lists

A list is a group of people you can use as a campaign's audience. Lists aren't available on the Free plan.

The lists menu has **All people**, **From sources · update on their own**, **My lists** and **Saved views**. **Find a list** searches them.

* To add people, tick them and choose **Add to list**. On a person, it's in the **⋯** menu.
* To take people out, open the list, tick them and choose **Remove from list**. They stay in People and in any campaign that is already running, and they won't be picked up from this list again.
* **Make a new list…** combines two lists into a new one. The two lists stay as they are.
* The **⋯** menu on an open list holds **Rename**, **Export as CSV…**, **Enrich this list…** and **Delete list…**. Deleting a list keeps its people. People already in campaigns that used it carry on, and nobody new joins from it.

## Tags

Tags are your own labels. They don't change anyone's stage or campaign.

* **Several people:** tick them, then choose **More** and **Tag…**. Type each tag and press Enter, or use **Take a tag off**. Choose **Apply**. A tag can have up to 40 characters, and you can apply up to 10 at a time.
* **One person:** open the full page, choose **Details**, and use **Tag**. Remove a tag with its **x**.

Upper and lower case count as the same tag.

> [!NOTE]
>
> People has no filter or column for tags today, and tags aren't in exports. You see a person's tags on their **Details** tab.

## Owners

An owner is the teammate responsible for a person. It doesn't change who sends the messages.

* **Several people:** tick them, open **More**, and choose a teammate, or **Remove owner**.
* **One person:** use **Set owner** in the panel's **⋯** menu, or **Set owner** or **Change** on the **Details** tab.

When an invite is accepted or someone replies and the person has no owner, the sender account's owner becomes their owner.

## Tasks

A task is a reminder to do something about a person. Tasks don't send anything.

**1. Add a task**

On the board, open a card's menu and choose **Add a task…**. Or open a person's full page, choose **Tasks**, and use **Add a task…**.

**2. Fill it in**

Write the task, up to 500 characters. Under **Due**, choose **Today**, **Tomorrow**, **Next week** (next Monday) or **Pick a date**. Under **For**, choose a teammate or **Nobody**.

**3. Save**

Choose **Add task**.

A person with no pipeline stage moves to **To contact** when they get a task. You see **Task added. They are now in To contact.**

To see all tasks, open the board, open its **⋯** menu (**Board options**) and choose **All tasks…**. Switch between **Mine** and **Everyone's**, and between **Open**, **Overdue** and **Done**. Tick a task to mark it done or reopen it, and click its row to open the person.

A task is overdue once its due day has passed. A task due today stays on Today until the day ends. Tasks marked **made from their reply** were created when a reply was tagged interested or a meeting request.
